CONGRATULATION FROM THE DMR SUPREME COUNCIL CHAIRMAN

My dear compatriots,
On behalf of the Supreme
Council of the Dniester Moldavian Republic, I celebrate you with the
approaching New Year and Christmas.
Here we have
lived a one more year, a very complicated one but enough full of events. This year,
our republic has passed new tests and proved to be stoic. And though positive
changes are not so considerable, I think we have lived this year deservedly. The
year 2002 gave new achievements both in science and education as well as in domain
of culture. A number of legislative acts is adopted, they are supposed to
influence considerably upon legal relationship nearly in all domains of life of
our society. Improvement of legal space of the republic, aspiration to the
law-based state may favorably influence upon life of our people only under
condition of proper fulfillment of these laws and joint work for our common
good.
The main thing is
that the Dniestrian people goes on living and working in situation of
political, interethnic and inter-confessional accord, mutual understanding, unity,
and creativity. I am sure, by means of our labor we will manage to have worthy
life for us and our children.
We give thanks to
all workers of Dniestria for everyday hard work, for we have bread on our
tables, for we have light at home, and there is warm and comfortable there.
On the eve of the
New Year, we would like to hope for better. We would like our common hopes come
true as soon as possible.
Let many problems
go away together with the old year, and let there be more joy and positive
changes in the new year. Let the year 2003 be much more successful, more
fruitful, bringing tangible results for each citizen of the Dniester Moldavian
Republic. Let each day in 2003 become the starting point for good deeds!

of my heart, I wish you to see your plans and fondest dreams come true in the
new year, to have strong health, happiness and well being!
