Issues of money income to the Republican Pensions Fund and paying
pensions to citizens of Tiraspol became the major topic of discussion at the
information hour, which the head of state administration of Tiraspol Victor
Kostyrko carried out on October 1st with heads of town’s enterprises
and city council deputies.
By words of Victor Kostyrko, the overwhelming part of money (65%) comes
to the Republican Pensions Fund from industrial enterprises and organizations
situated in Tiraspol. Some enterprises of the town send money with overtaking,
other with delays. But generally the payment of pensions in Tiraspol has been
carried out on time up till recently. In September, the situation has a little
changed. Tiraspol pensioners started receiving pensions with little delay,
which in average makes up three days. Explaining this fact, Victor Kostyrko
remarked that there are two reasons of that. The first reason is as follows:
money received by the Pensions Fund from Tiraspol enterprises are sent for
payment of debts to our towns and districts of Dniestria because of complicated
situation with payment of pensions. The second reason: delay of pensions
happens because of enterprises, which fulfill their duties for the Fund with
great delay.
The head of town administration said, “I share anxiety of Tiraspol
pensioners. But at the same time, clearly understanding that for today Tiraspol
is the donor of the Pensions Fund we should also think about pensioners, living
in other towns and districts of the republic.
By words of Victor Kostyrko, nowadays Tiraspol administration holds a
goal-directed work with debtor enterprises. There are ways of doing that, so
the town head expressed sureness that “Tiraspol pensioners will receive
pensions without delays as before”.
